Week 9 - Gummy smiles galore.

One thing I can say for this week, is I am loving all the gummy smiles Gabe gives me. From first thing in the morning till the tired cranky periods he still shares the most heartening gummy smiles.

The routine of a morning firmly consists of a slow waking up from the wee lil one, hey there's no rushing the wake up! After a snuggle and first morning chat and duds are taken care of. It's back to the bed where mamma opens the curtains for Gabe. The room is toasty warm in the morning light, he lies there looking out enchanted by the trees waving around outside the window. What better way is there to start the day.

Gabe chats away to me, his little tongue darting every which way as he learns to make noise. Believe me he has known about his voice for the past couple of weeks, and cooee's out (in baby shout) when I am not by his side. You can just imagine him yelling out to mamma "Where are you?" I am rewarded with a mega watt gummy smile, I can't beleive how much it just melts your heart. Too darn cute!

Out at the shops today (Wednesday 27th July) with Kristy and his baby mate, Justice. Gabe is totally enchanted by his little yellow hanging friend, yellow ducky. These two have the most indepth discussions whilst I push him along in his pram. It starts of with a serious stare, I think the green turtle said something he shouldn't of to Gabe about yellow ducky. Then yellow ducky must of made the situation better because Gabe is gummy smiles galore at his little yellow mate.

I have a tired little bubba on my arm, who is ready for his shower and then bed. I best go complete the bedtime routine.

Too cute was after placing him on the bed to sleep, he quickly closed his eyes. His little arms still wave around, he's not quite yet in control of them. Sometimes (like tonight) I hold his arms briefly. His little hand clasping softly around one finger, we lie face to face. I can barely make him out in the dim room. His eyes flutter close, twice more checking to see his mamma is still there. Every night is different, but you can't help but spend every now and there watching in quiet awe.
