Week 8 - those needles...

Chatting to Grammie at the food & wine festival.

We had visitors from Grammie and Mick for the weekend. So we went off to the food & wine festival to take in the sights.

Gabe is so much more alert every day, although still a great sleeper (well I think so). Tuesday is our outing to the mothers group sessions. It's week 2 and mainly just an outing to meet and chat to other new mummy's. Afterwards today, a couple of us go out for lunch. Taste Matters is the venue of choice with out bubs well (Gabe anyway) sleeping again, whilst the others look around the room and chat away to us.

All week I am dreading his needles. They loom ahead of me. I know its mostly what I am thinking that stresses me out about the whole process.

At the doctors office, the nurse is rewarded with a lot of sleepy smiles. Yes again he is fast asleep on our arrival. He takes his usual time slowly waking. Giving me lots of cuddles, he certainly takes his time. Even once awake, he is so relaxed he rests against me unable to hold his head up and sleepy eyes taking in his surroundings. The nurse actually said how bad she felt about the process as he looked so cute with his smiles and how relaxed he was.

It was all done and dusted very quickly. With both needles being given at the same time. How bright red he went in the face and he certainly spat his dummy. Although he quickly forgave all as it was his lunch time, and lunch always wins!

Our new nightly routine is bath, feed and bed. Gabe loves his showers! After a hard day being a baby, he just goes to mush all relaxed and unwound. After I wrap him up in his towel, I can have my shower while he toasts under the heating lamp and finish off relaxing myself. Very good bubba. I snuck in some pictures of Gabe showering with daddy.

Keep it warm daddy!

But mainly Gabe puts up with me taking lots of photos of him. Sheesh - you'd think I'd have enough things to do. Naw, he's too cute!

Always smiling.

Had to show you his whale outfit, just right for whale watching from the front bedroom.
